GENERAL GYMNASTICS CLUB COMPETITION
Sunday 29th April 2012 At Derby City Gymnastics Club We will be holding a Club Competition for all Gymnasts that attend a general gymnastics session. This is a great opportunity for Gymnasts to show the skills they have been working towards in their gymnastics sessions in a competitive environment. Gymnasts will be entered at a suitable level for their ability - each level has different requirements. Each Gymnast will perform a floor routine and a vault, which will be judged and scored. Once all gymnasts have competed the scores will be collected, the results will be announced and medals will be given to gymnasts who place 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Family and Friends will be invited to watch the competition, a great chance to see gymnasts skills and progression! More Information to Follow. |

TUMBLERS THROUGH TO NATIONAL FINALS
Congratulations to the following Gymnasts who recently won their categories at the Regional Tumble Competition. Kian Lloyd Zak Fellows Kymme Harrison Amy Parsons Francesca Stokes Michaelle Harris Bella Naitta They will now go on to compete at the National Finals at Stoke on 19th and 20th May 2012! Good Luck to all competing! |

Fantastic News Derby City Tumblers qualify for the World
Championship Ashton
Jenns
(11-12 boys), Anthony Colder (13-14 boys), Charlotte Caunt (15-16
Girls) and
2010 world champion Greg Townley (15-16 boys) attended the British
trials and all qualified to represent Great Britain at the 2011 World
Tumbling Championships which is being held at the N.I.A arena,
Birmingham, between 24th November to 27th
November. This is a fantastic achievement for the gymnasts and the club. The Gymnasts
and the Club would like to thank all the effort from the coaches and their
coach Damien. There are tickets still available please come along and join me
in supporting them. Mr Walters |

| Festival Del Sole - July 2012 This July, we will be taking over 40 selected Gymnasts to the Festival Del Sole in Italy and we are asking whether local companies would sponsor the club to support our gymnasts with any offer of help. | Derby City Gymnastics Club Display Team: Derby City Gymnastics Club Display Team would like to thank everyone who came to watch and support the team at our recent performance on Derby Market Place. The team performed to celebrate the 1 year count down to the Olympics, we were joined by many others performing, as well as the BBC coming along to film the event! It was a very successful day, with great feedback received from all who watched! We would also like to thank everyone who came along to have their face or nails painted, which helped us raise some money for the club! Heather and Laura would like to thank all the gymnasts who performed - you all did a great job! And we look forward to taking you to perform at our next event - Spondon Festival on Sunday 11th September. |

'Q&As'
Do you have a
general question, not sure who and what to ask or where to go? Don't worry! We are in the process of compiling a range of common 'Q&As' so watch this space for further updates!
Do you need to talk to your gymnast's coach? No
problem, as
we fully appreciate you have questions from time to time. But
please bear in mind, our coaches are dedicated and committed to working
with all their gymnasts and want to make sure they
utilise every available bit of session time with their
group. As it isn't always
possible to speak to your gymnast's coach due to the limited time they
have, with the introduction of the 'Q&As' soon, you should be able
to find the answers to your questions as an alternative. Of course, if you do need to speak to any of our coaches, we are more than happy to accommodate this at a time convenient to both parties. Just let us know and we'll be happy to arrange. Thank you for your understanding. Read our standards and expectations
